Line Pull Calculator

The following calculator is to be used as a general guide to determining Line Pull for your application. As recommended by IEEE Standard 524, the maximum pulling tension applied to the conductor should not exceed 10% of the rated strength of the conductor.  Results given using this calculator assume a level pull.  Tighter sag values, clearing high obstacles and pulls including angles and/or elevation changes will increase the pulling force suggested below. All fields are required in order to provide an accurate calculation. Values provided cannot be a negative number, zero or a letter.  Suggested Line Pull will display automatically when all fields have been entered.
